What will my diet be like after the operation?

The postoperative diet varies depending on the type of surgery performed. Usually, most surgeries (except band and plication) follow a water diet for one day, after discharge from hospital, and blended foods for 3 weeks, in order to protect the sutures and anastomoses.

After this, the patient returns to consuming solid food, without special restrictions, which mainly concern not the type of food, but the way it is taken.
